What Does “Keep It A 5™” Mean?

Think of a simple hunger and fullness scale from 0 to 10.

  • 0 = Not hungry at all

  • 10 = Ravenous or overly hungry

…and for fullness:

  • 0 = Completely empty

  • 10 = Uncomfortably full

The sweet spot is right around a 5, where you’re comfortably satisfied or just gently hungry.

This is where mindful eating begins.

When you “Keep It A 5™,” you stay aware of your body’s signals and respond with conscious choices — instead of eating from habit, emotion, or stress. You begin to eat slowly, chew with attention, and truly savor each meal.

Mindful eating isn’t about perfection — it’s about presence. You learn to focus on how food tastes, how your body feels, and how satisfied you are — one bite at a time.

Why “Keeping It A 5™” Works

When you let yourself get too hungry, it’s easy to eat mindlessly or overeat. And when you eat past fullness, you may feel bloated, sluggish, or guilty.

Keep It A 5™ helps you break that cycle by teaching you to eat with awareness and balance.

Through mindful eating, you can:

  • Avoid overeating and emotional eating

  • Stay balanced between hunger and fullness

  • Make conscious, satisfying food choices

  • Slow down and enjoy your meals without distractions

  • Trust your body’s natural cues again

This mindful eating practice helps you pay attention to sensations like hunger, taste, texture, and fullness — reconnecting your brain, body, and plate.

No more restrictive diets.
No calorie counting.
Just mindful meals, nourishment, and self-compassion.
