I’m Meg O’Rourke, a Registered Dietitian and Functional Nutritionist with over 20 years of experience helping people resolve digestive issues, weight loss resistance, food sensitivities, and fatigue that conventional medicine often overlooks.

The truth is, most medical doctors receive little to no training in nutrition, the microbiome, or the chemicals in our food supply. That’s where I come in. My mission is simple: to change the way you think about food and to help you stop dieting for good.
About Meg O’Rourke, RD, LDN
Founder of Harmony With Food
The Anti-Diet Dietitian | Functional Nutritionist | Radio Host
My Philosophy
I use a “Non-Diet” functional nutrition approach that goes far beyond calories in vs. calories out or outdated tools like BMI. Food is not just fuel — it can be the root cause of skin problems, joint pain, GI distress, fatigue, and stubborn weight gain.

Instead of guessing, I say “Test, don’t guess.” With advanced testing in nutrigenomics, the microbiome, micronutrient deficiencies, and food sensitivities, I help you uncover what’s really driving your symptoms. Then, together, we create a plan tailored to your body — not a one-size-fits-all diet.
My Story
I know firsthand how frustrating it is to be dismissed by conventional medicine. Early in my life, I nearly died when doctors ignored a serious condition and sent me home. Later, a surgical complication left me needing five more surgeries. That experience fueled my passion for becoming my own health advocate — and teaching my clients to do the same.

I don’t want you to feel ignored, brushed off with a generic diagnosis like “IBS,” or told to just “eat less and exercise more.” My work is about digging deeper, getting real answers, and helping you regain control of your health.

Client Success Stories
The results speak for themselves.
One of my clients, a 48-year-old healthcare worker, struggled with debilitating eczema for more than a decade. After functional testing and gut-focused treatment, her eczema cleared completely:

“Not one doctor asked about my diet. But Meg did. And now, my hands are healed — no gloves, no creams, no steroids. Just the right foods and guidance. She saved my skin!”

Others have resolved years of digestive distress, broken through weight loss plateaus, reversed fatigue, and finally felt in control of their health again.
