Micronutrients Essential For Brain And Body Health
Are you taking a supplement for everything? Do you have so many supplements you take that you don't even know what they really do? We're going to talk about micronutrients, supplements and how to avoid the marketing trap of taking a supplement for everything. Then, we will talk about the dieting myths of Hollyweird that are floating around right now. Finally, we will cover a study about type 2 diabetes and where it starts.
Taking Supplements
Do you take supplements? How do you know what to take? Where do you get your information? Is it from the marketing departments of these big supplement companies or from salespeople? It's a little bewildering and frightening and very difficult to navigate these waters alone. So, if you're a supplement nutcase, meaning you're taking a ton of supplements and you don't even know which one is or is not working for you, it's time to test, not guess, to determine exactly what food, drinks, and supplements you should or should not be consuming based on your genomes, micronutrients, your microbiome, and food sensitivities.
Many people don't realize that food sensitivities are where antigens produce antibodies to certain foods that you can consume. The reason you have heard variety is key is because if you're eating the same foods all the time, you can produce antibodies that can affect your immune system, causing inflammation.
The marketing behind supplements is convincing people to go buy supplements, but it's not educating people as to why they need the supplements in the first place. I'm here to tell you, I don't recommend supplements unless you're a patient of mine. I recommend you do testing because how am I supposed to know what food drinks and supplements you should or should not be consuming without any objective information, whether that be a stool test, the microbiome test, a food sensitivity test. Sometimes, if people have things like chronic sinusitis, I might do a mold test.
If someone is having symptoms and they aren't sure why they're having certain symptoms, we might do a food additive test. The three most popular tests are the microbiome, food sensitivity, and micronutrients. I'm here every week to educate you on what you should or should not be doing. My biggest motto is test, don't guess.

Dieting Myths
The dirty little secret that the big weight loss companies don't want you to know is that diets don't work. Here's the reason why. When you lose a lot of weight quickly, say, through some kind of crazy diet, insert crazy diet name here, you not only lose fat, you lose muscle. When you're done with the so-called crazy diet, you're going to eat like a normal person, you're not going to go crazy, your metabolism is now slow as a snail. There is a direct relationship between how much muscle you have and how fast your metabolism is. So, when you go on these diets, they are actually going to make your metabolism slower.
I'm here to tell you do not get your nutritional functional nutrition advice from Oprah or anyone in Hollyweird, Kelly Clarkson, Whoopi Goldberg, they're all doing the injections and telling people about it. And we'll see if they lose weight and keep it off. I'm here to tell you, I don't believe in diets.
Type 2 Diabetes Study
There's a study that found type two diabetes may be starting in the. in the GI tract. And we are confident that the observed changes in the gut microbiome happen first, and diabetes develops later. Did you read that? If you didn't read that, look at it again. We are confident, this is what the study is showing, the observed changes in the gut microbiome happen first and diabetes happens later, not the other way around.
So people stop being sheeple, stop doing what the insurance companies allow you to do. You need to be proactive about your health. And we all know that the system is broken. Whether you want to say it or admit it or not, the system is broken. We're not getting proactive health care. So in that case, you need to Need to be your own healthcare advocate.
